What "included" really means on a digital business card

Compare digital business cards for an afternoon and you notice something: almost every feature list is a ladder. The card is free. The wallet pass is one tier up. Analytics are another. Team branding is another again. By the time you have the thing you actually pictured when you signed up, you're three tiers in and paying per person, per month, forever.

We took a different view, and it's worth being specific about it rather than just claiming to be "better value".

The things we don't charge extra for

Video. A short header video or a cover image behind your name. Not an add-on, not a higher tier — part of Pro.

Imagery. A photo gallery on your page, plus page sections for services, testimonials, hours and FAQs. Most platforms give you a list of links. We think a page that shows the work sells the work.

The vault. A private document store attached to your card: brochures and certificates on the public shelf, passport, licences and insurance behind share links you can expire, with a log of who opened what. As far as we can find, nobody else pairs a business card with this at all.

Bookings and selling. Your Calendly or Cal.com embedded in the page, and products with Buy buttons that pay straight into your own Stripe, SumUp or PayPal. We don't take a cut.

All of that is in Pro, at one price, alongside the wallet pass, your own name in the link, all eleven themes, five layouts, fonts, and analytics you can export.

What's free, honestly

Free means free forever, not free for a fortnight. Your page, your link, your QR code, two links, three themes, one-tap save to contacts, and your first five captured contacts.

That last one is the only place we've drawn a line that we get asked about, so here's the reasoning. Somebody saving your card to their phone is free forever and always will be — that's the product doing its job, and it's their action, not yours. The two-way exchange, where their details land in your list and you can export the lot to a CRM, is a business tool. Five free, so you can watch it work before you decide it's worth paying for.

And the bit that isn't a subscription at all

The engraved metal card is a one-off price. Buy it once and your page keeps working forever, whether or not you ever pay us again. It also carries twelve months of Pro, which is most of its cost back.

That's deliberate. A business card you rent stops being a business card the month you stop paying — and a card that can be switched off by an invoice isn't really yours.

See it before you decide

Every new account gets fourteen days of Pro, with all of the above switched on. Nothing to cancel and no card details taken. When it ends, your card carries on free.

If you'd rather see the numbers side by side, the full comparison lists what we do and don't do against seven other platforms, with the date we checked each one.
